she hardly had any reason to be CAUTIOUS of her future, or even the ( apparent ) trust that she had placed in him so readily, but she was a tremendous judge of heart && his was plentiful. he spoke of the sea as if he had been acquainted of it’s depths, knew WELL what lurked beneath it ;; could it stand to reason that he was aware of the magic within the world ? following behind him dutifully, leather garb befitting a huntress of the wild fitting each movement, she would contemplate this question. ❛ what have you seen of the sea and it’s dangers ?

SURE steps were taken towards the ship, the SOUND of his boots meeting the wood a WELCOME melody. It was one he RECOGNIZED, the sound of being welcomed HOME. The smile on his face WIDENED as he began preparing for the small EXCURSION. He moved around her easily, hoping that being ABOARD the ship wouldn’t result in her CHANGING her mind. The movement of his hands STILLED as she spoke, eyes LIFTING to pay her attention. The question brought a PENSIVE look to his face, and he glanced towards the horizon.

“ In my youth, I was traveling with my father – he was a MERCHANT, and preferred sailing to taking a horse across the land. One day, our ship was ATTACKED. I thought for certain we’d meet our end that day, or at least that I would. See, I lost my footing and fell ( overboard. ) I can’t quite EXPLAIN what happened next, but when I opened my eyes – I saw something in the water. To this day, I’ve no clue what it was. It left as QUICKLY as it arrived, leaving us with little damage and ever GROWING curiosity. I’ve come to accept that there are things in this world that we must GUESS at, some things that man can’t even ( begin ) to comprehend. I hope to one day get a brief GLIMPSE into everything the world truly holds. Until then, I WAIT.
